From celebrating new communities eligible for 100 Mbps Kinetic Internet to sponsoring local events, Windstream has had a busy season in North Georgia communities. Below are a few of the events we were proud to contribute to.
In mid-October, Windstream announced that it had completed the upgrade of its cable TV network in Dahlonega, delivering up to 100 megabits-per-second (Mbps) internet speeds to about 6,400 homes and businesses. Pictured below, State Senator Steve Gooch joined President of Georgia Operations J. Berkshire at the Dahlonega ribbon-cutting event. To read more about the event, go to our blog post here.
Windstream provided free Wi-Fi as part of its sponsorship of the food court during Gold Rush Days in Dahlonega. State Sen. Steve Gooch (pictured below in white shirt) stopped by the Windstream tent, where residents were able to sign up for 100 Mbps internet service over the company’s recently upgraded cable TV network. The service is available in a number of North Georgia communities. To inquire about service, call (877) 894-6391 or visit the nearest Windstream retail store.
Windstream was the presenting sponsor at the Blairsville Rotary Golf Classic. Pictured below (left to right) are Olen Yarbrough, Windstream director of Field Operations; Rotary President Rick Maddox, and Eland Jones, Windstream director of Field Operations.
Windstream retail representatives staffed a tent at the Georgia Mountain Fair in Hiawassee, where residents could sign up for 100 Mbps internet service over the company’s recently upgraded cable TV network. When complete, the cable upgrade will provide 100 Mbps to more than 67,000 locations in 13 communities. In addition to Hiawassee, those communities are Blairsville, Dahlonega, Young Harris, Dawsonville, Helen, Homer, Cornelia, Commerce, Jefferson, Clarkesville, Nicholson, and Cleveland, as well as Hayesville, N.C. To inquire about service, call (877) 894-6391 or visit the nearest Windstream retail store.
